The Mar-Keys Last Night! (12") Album Cover Art

1961 Atlantic Records 8055 release scanned from the original 12" vinyl LP cover art. One of the original soul/funk bands from the early 60's that spawned bands such as the Memphis Horns, the Packers, and Booker T. & the M.G.'s. Members have included Steve Cropper, Donald "Duck" Dunn, Don Nix, Isaac Hayes, and of course Booker T. Jones.

The Mar-Keys, formed in 1958, were an American studio session band for Stax Records, in Memphis, Tennessee, in the 1960s. As the first house band for the label, their backing music formed the foundation for the early 1960s Stax sound.
